POLICY ON APPEARANCES
BEFORE THE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Meetings of the Board of Trustees of the Greenville County Library System are open to the public and library staff except when the Board is in executive session.
Individuals wishing to address the Library Board should submit a written request to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, with a copy to the Director, stating the topic to be presented. The Chairman will then refer the request to the appropriate committee of the Library Board, or place the individual on the agenda of the next or a future Library Board meeting.
In compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, agendas for all meetings of the Library Board and its committees are posted at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance.
The Library Board will consider matters relating to personnel grievances only if the grievant has followed the Library System's Grievance Procedure.
