Thanks to a grant awarded the Friends of the Greenville County Library System, we are offering the Recipe for Financial Empowerment, an exciting and informative array of financial education programs which will occur on a rotating basis until the end of 2013 and beyond.
A new website dedicated to financial information and resources, www.SmartMoneyGCLS.org, is also being funded by the grant. This Recipe for Financial Empowerment website focuses on the ingredients for financial success and serves as a portal to community resources available through local organizations like the United Way of Greenville County–whose Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program Greenville County Library System will be hosting in January–and the Human Relations Commission–with whom GCLS is working to present IDA Information Sessions.
Smart investing@your library® allows us to meet a critical need for individuals to have information they can trust to help them arrive at a brighter financial future. We look forward to using our grant to provide programs that can help members of our community prosper and get their piece of the money pie.
