The guild promotes the art and tradition of basketry through instruction, public service, and community awareness. Guild meeting are the place to find instructors and mentors who help individuals learn and refine their skills. Monthly meetings are held at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior at 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd., Taylors, SC. Check the website for the date and time of the next meeting. Members participate in seminars and the bi-annual convention called Weave-In which brings together basket makers of every level to share techniques, to marvel at each other’s talents, and to collect new supplies from the vendors.
