The Greenville County School District provides educational experiences in cooperation with the home and community that prepare students for lifelong learning and for ethical, productive participation in a democratic society and the global community. The school locater link leads to a list of schools by their type or level and then in most instances to the individual school’s website.
The Board of Trustees of Greenville County Schools is an elected body. Their mission is to ensure excellence in the governance of a quality educational program by analyzing needs, establishing policies, allocating resources, and monitoring progress. Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are held the 4th Tuesday of each month, except July, beginning at 7:00 pm.
The primary mission of the center is to foster enhanced learning and growth opportunities through educational excellence and high quality instructional programs for students, teachers, and the general public. The center is owned by the School District of Greenville County, which provides the full-time staff and operational support. The nature trails, arboretum, and butterfly garden are available to the public any time the main gate is open.

The Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities is South Carolina's premier school for artistically talented high school students. Utilizing the state's rich cultural heritage and diversity, the school serves as a laboratory for developing new and innovative concepts and programs in the arts, humanities, and other academic studies.
