Summer Reading 2013 for rising 6th to 12th graders.

How to participate:

  1. Register at the one Greenville County Library System (GCLS) location you visit most. Only one reading log per person may be redeemed.
  2. Get a reading log.
  3. Record hours read.
  4. Go to the library where you registered.
  5. Show a staff member your reading log.
  6. Get a great prize!*

The last day to collect prizes is SATURDAY, JULY 27th!

Level 1: Read or listen 10 hours

  • Get a Flashlight with Pen and Lanyard.*

Level 2: Read or listen 10 more hours (20 total)

  • Get a Greenville Rec Ice Skating/Waterpark discount coupon.*
  • Be entered in a drawing to win a Zike Flyby.
  • Get a ticket voucher to a Greenville Drive baseball game.*

Once you earn your Greenville Drive voucher, go to: GreenvilleDrive.com/RAS and enter to win.

You could be chosen to be a Reading All Star Game celebrity! Winners will be chosen to…

  • Throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch (ages 8 and over).
  • Be the Honorary Ball Boy or Bat Girl (ages 10 and over).
  • Ride into the game with JDew and Reedy at the bottom of the 1st inning (ages 6 & over, with 1 parent)
  • Have their names on the DriveVision (children and/or teens).

*While supplies last. The library may substitute other incentives. Prizes are not recommended for children under 5 years of age.

The Greenville Drive voucher must be redeemed for a ticket to a special Reading All Stars Celebration Game. You may choose to attend either of two games: Wed, Aug 7 (pregame ceremonies begin at 6:30p and game at 7:05p) or Sun, Aug 18 (pregame ceremonies begin at 3:30p and game at 4:05p). Please note that only readers who qualify as Drive Reading All Stars may use the vouchers, not family members or friends.

Both games will include a pregame Parade of Champions. Parades start at the Field Street entrance to Fluor Field. All qualifying readers may pick up a free Drive Reading All Stars Michelin N.A. t-shirt at the Field Street entrance prior to the parade.
